FCRM Certification Extension

The FRMA Board of Directors recognizes that many of our members are not currently permitted to travel. To address members’ concerns of being decertified as a Florida Certified Records Manager (FCRM), the Board is extending the FCRM certification period through July 31, 2022, with the following guidelines:

Current FCRMs have until July 31, 2022 to complete the required 18 hours of continuing education credits to maintain certification.

Those not yet certified, but working on initial FCRM certification, have until July 31, 2022 to complete the required 36 hours of credits to earn intital certification, if the first approved FCRM credits were earned during the time period of August 1, 2018 - July 31, 2019.

There are multiple future events to earn approved continuing education credits for the FCRM program:

2021 FRMA Annual Conference: July 20-23, 2021, Innisbrook Resort, Palm Harbor, FL, Earn up to 18 hours. To register, click here.

2021 FRMA Mid-Year Conference: October 13-15, 2021, DoubleTree by Hilton at SeaWorld Orlando,  Earn approximately 10-12 hours (total hours dependent upon final agenda).

2022 FRMA Annual Conference: May 24-27, 2022, Location TBD, Earn approximately 18-20 hours (total hours dependent upon final agenda).

In addition, the Board will continue to explore virtual options if travel remains restricted into 2022.

We hope you can join us at Innisbrook Resort this July, not only for FCRM credits, but for the quality records management education offered at FRMA events, as well as the excellent networking opportunities with other records managers throughout the state.
